Good dental hygiene promotes overall wellness; Dental health begins with healthy gums and underlying bone structure. We customize treatment to meet patients' periodontal (gums and bone) needs. Our highly trained hygienists provide thorough cleanings while ensuring our patient's comfort. Our reviews consistently reflect how much our patients love and appreciate the hygienists.

Your Oral Health Starts Here The latest dental materials and techniques allow for beautiful, long-lasting fillings. Northern Westchester Dental Care is a mercury-free practice that uses composite resin and porcelain to restore teeth to their natural color and strength. These restorations allow for the most conservative, strongest, and esthetic results. Crowns and Bridges: Northern Westchester Dental Care uses the latest, strongest, and most esthetic material available to match the patient's needs. We use materials such as lithium disilicate or eMax crowns and Zirconia crowns.
A crown or bridge typically takes one or two visits to complete. If the procedure is completed in one visit, there is no need for a temporary crown or a return to cement it. We use different local anesthetics depending on the individual and their needs. Northern Westchester Dental Care provides Cerec digital scanning and milling technology. We are one of few practices in Westchester County that can digitally scan and fabricate porcelain crowns and bridges in a single visit.
We will complete a cosmetic analysis of your teeth using scientific and artistic principles based on our comprehensive examinations and diagnostic records. We include patients in the diagnostic process and plan before beginning treatment and often utilize life-like wax mockups showing the shape and position for accurate analysis. Using computer imaging, we can preview the various possibilities for a patient's treatment.
BOOK NOWTeeth whitening is one of the easiest and most gratifying techniques available. We treat our patients with both in-office whitening and take-home kits depending on the current status of the teeth and desired outcomes. The in-office procedure is safe and produces immediate results. It is possible to get up to 10 shades lighter!
Dental implants are the answer to missing teeth. They are biocompatible, made of surgical-grade titanium, and manufactured substitutes to replace missing tooth roots. Implants come in various shapes and sizes to address individual needs. Most are cylinders placed into the bone and allowed to heal undisturbed while the bone heals around them, locking them in like an anchor. After a few months, the implants are used as a foundation for replacing the missing teeth. In some cases, "Immediate Implants" are placed, and temporary teeth are put in the SAME DAY!
Your Oral Health Starts HereA good night's sleep is crucial to one's overall health and wellness, and NWDC offers a comprehensive process to determine a patient's best option for treating sleep apnea. Our process begins with a home sleep study read by a board-certified sleep physician. Based upon the patient’s anatomy and the reason for the apnea, we will decide if a patient can benefit from an oral appliance. The right custom-made sleep appliance will reposition a patient's airway to help them breathe well and oxygenate. Sleep appliances are also an excellent solution for those patients that cannot tolerate a CPAP.
BOOK NOWWe strive to reduce your dental anxiety and create a plan from your first visit to recovery. We offer IV Sedation, Nitrous Oxide, and Oral and Conscious Sedation so you can stay calm, comfortable, and in control. Your safety is our #1 priority. We have many options, including a board-certified dental anesthesiologist.
This procedure is most common amongst patients ages 16-22. Teenagers and adults may experience complications with their wisdom teeth, leading to the need to extract some or all wisdom teeth. At Northern Westchester Dental Care, we highly suggest scheduling a consultation with one of our highly skilled oral surgeons to discuss treatment, sedation options, and recovery.
Root canals, or endodontic treatment, save millions of teeth every year. "Root Canal" often has negative connotations; however, the procedure is typically very comfortable for the patient. A root canal treatment is most often necessary when the nerve tissue inside the tooth is infected. The infection can cause the nerve to die or be on its way to dying.
TMJ/TMD refers to the temporomandibular joints on either side of the jaw. TMJ disorders are often referred to as TMD (temporomandibular dysfunction). They can lead to headaches, neck pain, jaw joint and cheek pain, ear aches, and myriad other symptoms.
There are many causes of TMJ disorders and jaw joint pain, including cartilage wear and tear, clenching and grinding, a misaligned bite, and arthritis. At Northern Westchester Dental Care, we can provide highly customized treatment solutions for reducing the pain and discomfort caused by TMJ/TMD. Treatment time typically ranges from one to three years, depending on the growth of the patient's mouth and face and the severity of the problem.
Research tells us that about 35 million people in the United States have no teeth, and approximately 178 million are missing at least one tooth. Fortunately, we fabricate complete dentures for people missing all of their teeth in an arch–meaning no teeth on the upper jaw, lower jaw, or both. Partial dentures will use the remaining teeth for retention and stability. We make partial dentures if there are remaining teeth on an arch. Patients can use complete dentures with or without implants.
Thorough evaluation and record-taking will determine if a patient is a candidate for Invisalign®. We take precision records and fabricate a series of "Aligners" or custom trays. Each set of Aligners is worn for about two weeks and removed only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. For some patients, traditional orthodontics with metal or ceramic braces is necessary. The metal or lighter-colored ceramic "brackets" are attached to each tooth, and a wire connects them. This type of orthodontics can sometimes be better at certain types of tooth movement and more complicated tooth movements. Traditional braces are also often indicated for adolescent patients because of compliance.

Love Drs. Dana and Seth! They have done a lot of work in my mouth, including crowns and implants, and they do a terrific job. The office is run very well so I rarely have more than a minute or two wait, I always get a complete cost estimate before any major work, and that has always been accurate.…
